A variety of reasons can prevent a car from connecting through Smartcar. Below are the most common issues. If this guide doesn’t help, don't hesitate to reach out to support@smartcar.com for more information!

Geographic Compatibility

Smartcar currently works with 20 vehicle brands in the United States.

If you’re in Canada, Europe, or other international markets, you’ll only be able to connect Tesla, Jaguar, and Land Rover vehicles.

We hope to add additional international support later this year - let us know what brands you’re hoping to connect in particular at support@smartcar.com and we’re happy to add them to our list!

Invalid Credentials

The credentials you use to log in will be the same credentials you use to log into your car’s Android or iOS application.

Use the "Reset Password" link if you’ve forgotten your password, or the "Don’t have an account?" link to learn how to set one up for the first time.

Vehicle Compatibility

If you see “No Compatible Vehicles found” after logging in, this means that none of the vehicles currently on your account are compatible with Smartcar.

You can find a full list of vehicle compatibility here.

Browser Compatibility

Last, but certainly not least, double check that your browser is compatible with Smartcar. We support the latest versions of Edge, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
